Alyth Substation 400kV Circuits
HVEC were contracted to carry out the works required for the provision of two new 400kV circuits within the newly built Alyth substation. The scope of the HVEC works for the new 400kV MSCDN and Statcom circuits is as follows:
- All trenching and ducting to accommodate the 400kV cables.
- Installation of the 400kV cables.
- Design and provision of all associated scaffolding.
- Post installation sheath testing.
- Non stabilised backfill compaction and TR testing.
- Jointer support assistance.
- Loading and unloading of cable drums.
