Shetland Substation Works

Contracted to carry out works on anew substation on the mainland of Shetland over a 2 year programme. These works consist of the following activities:

• Provision of temporary haul road and hard standings.
• Installation of 28no direct buried, troughed or ducted 33kV cable circuits.
• Installation of 5no direct buried, troughed or ducted 132kV cable circuits.
• Installation of of a number of earth, LV and fibre cables.
• Fabrication and installation of 33kV switchroom cable support structures and other cable management.
• Duct proving and camera inspection of ducts installed by others prior to cable installation.
• Provision and installation of troughs associated with 8no 33kV and 132kV cable circuits.
• Installation of cleating and associated steelwork within 11no troughed cable routes.
• Installation of transition cable glands.
• Resin anchor installation and testing.
• Planning, procurement and delivery of required materials to the Shetland Isles.
